From 1990 to 2007, in just 17 years, there has been a 600% increase in the number of
people living with HIV.  The good news is that the increase is leveling off in most parts of
the world, due partly to increasing availability of treatment and mainly to prevention.  The
bad new is there are about 33 million people who are infected.
