Mission Responsibility

mission that is uniquely the responsibility of the
Department of Energy.

Today, the charter of the isotope program
includes materials management, irradiation
services, target preparation and processing,
source encapsulation, radiochemical
separations, materials analysis, and lease of
stable and radioactive sources.
•
Scientific research will return as an essential
part of the program.
